The Salem County Art League is proud to announce the Salem County Seniors Juried Art Contest and Exhibit on Saturday and Sunday, June 11 and 12. This annual exhibit and competition is co-sponsored by the Salem County Art League and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, which is marking its 50th year of celebrating the creative talents of New Jersey’s senior citizens.
Any Salem County resident who is at least 60 years old may submit artwork to the Salem County Seniors Juried Art Contest and Exhibit. All submissions must be the original work of the applicant, created within the last three years, and not previously entered in the Salem County show. Applicants may submit a two pieces of their work in each of two different categories. The categories are: acrylic, crafts, digital imagery, drawing, mixed media, oil, pastel, photography, print, sculpture, and watercolor. Full information regarding categories and registration can be found at the link above. All entries will be on display for public viewing.
Submissions are registered as “Professional” or “Nonprofessional.” Awards will be given where the judge deems appropriate in each of the “professional” and “nonprofessional” categories. First-place winners in each “professional” and “nonprofessional” category will advance to the New Jersey State show in September.
